Timely Action...!
May 6, 2026, 18:00 - 20:00, online
Join this interactive online workshop to discover how gastrointestinal ultrasound can play a decisive role in the monitoring and management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). From routine assessments to urgent cases involving complications, intestinal injuries, lymphoma, or carcinoma, learn how early detection and rapid intervention can prevent progression and improve patient outcomes. This session emphasizes real-world scenarios where acting swiftly makes all the difference.
Ultrasound in IBD - Timely Action...!
Dear Participants,
Chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, significantly affect the lives of those impacted and demand long-term treatment and support. In modern diagnostics and therapy, ultrasound has become a key tool for monitoring disease activity in IBD patients. Its non-invasive nature makes it particularly valuable for close monitoring and rapid decision-making — enabling timely intervention when changes occur.
Timely action is critical in preventing disease progression, reducing complications, and improving patient outcomes. Ultrasound can detect subtle changes early, guiding clinicians to adjust treatment strategies before conditions worsen.
In this session, we will explore the situations where ultrasound offers the greatest benefit. How does it help act quickly in cases of IBD with and without complications, intestinal lymphoma, carcinoma, or injuries? Dr. Michael Höpfner from Agaplesion Diakonie Kliniken Kassel, Germany, and Dr. Johanna Vogelpohl from ADK-Kliniken Blaubeuren, Germany, will discuss these questions and more during the upcoming SGG-accredited E-Learning.
We look forward to your participation.
